Shakshuka
Ingredients
- Medium onion, diced
- Two cloves garlic, minced
- Tbsp olive oil
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can chuck peas
- Cumin
- Chili powder
- Crushed red pepper
- Oregano
- 3 eggs
Instructions
- Sauté onions and garlic in oil
- Add spices
- Add tomatoes
- When boiling, add chick peas
- When boiling again, make a small well for each egg, and crack them in
- Simmer with lid on for five minutes
Notes
- Good topped with goat cheese
- Original recipe suggested red bell pepper as well
- Maybe some lemon juice next time
