Reuben Casserole
Ingredients
- 16 oz. sauerkraut
- 8 oz. sour cream
- 6-8 oz. Swiss cheese (sliced or grated)
- 12 oz. corned beef (sliced or shredded)
- 1 tsp. caraway seed
- 1 Tbsp. (scant) sugar
- 6-8 slices rye bread (cubed)
- 1 stick butter
Instructions
- Mix sauerkraut, sour cream, caraway seed, and sugar in a casserole dish.
- Layer swiss cheese over.
- Crumble corned beef over.
- Melt butter in a skillet. Toast rye bread until it has soaked up the butter and browned.
- Spread bread over casserole.
- Bake at 350 for 40-50min. (until hot and bubbly)

- quartered rounds of bratwurst substitute well for the corned beef
